NL Transaction July 22nd
The Chicago Cubs called up 2nd year pitcher Bill Tremel from the minors today. Tremel, a 26 year old righthander, was (1-4) with 5 saves and a 5.26 ERA in 51 innings, all in relief, for the Cubs last season. He will be replacing John Andre, who was sent down 2 days ago, in the Chicago bullpen.
