Larry Jackson went the distance as the St. Louis Cardinals topped the

Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 6 to 1 at Connie Mack

Stadium.



Jackson(7-9) was very good in the win. He gave up just 8 hits and 3 walks in

9 innings lowering his ERA to 4.01. St. Louis finished with 7 hits in the

victory.



Curt Simmons(2-9) absorbed the loss. He surrendered 4 hits and 5 walks in 6
