The Cincinnati Redlegs toppled the New York Giants in 11 innings by a 10 to 6
score at Polo Grounds.
Both teams were tied at 6 runs apiece after nine innings. Cincinnati won the
hard fought contest in the 11th inning. The highlight belonged to Stan Palys
who silenced the stadium when he doubled which was good for two runs.
Cincinnati ended up with 14 hits for the game while New York had 9.
Jackie Collum(5-2) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. Don Liddle(3-5)
was given the loss in relief. He gave up 3 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings of
work.
Cincinnati now has a record of 54-38. With this loss, New York has a 3-7
record of late, 46-48 overall.
