Ted Kluszewski smacked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Cincinnati Redlegs

defeated the ice-cold New York Giants in 12 innings by the score of 6 to 5 at

Polo Grounds.



Both teams were tied at 5 runs apiece after nine innings. Cincinnati won it in

the 12th inning. After two were out Wally Post cracked a solo homerun (his

26th of the season). New York had 13 hits in the game while Cincinnati had

8, but Cincinnati had the more timely hits.



The victory went to Hersh Freeman(4-3) who went 5 innings, allowing no runs.

Don Liddle(3-6) took the loss in relief. He pitched 1 inning allowing 1 hit

and no walks.
