Bob Rush blanked New York in a very well-pitched complete game as the Chicago
Cubs defeated the New York Giants by a score of 3 to 0 at Wrigley
Field.
Rush(11-9) was very good in the win. He was stingy on the mound, allowing
just 6 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings. Chicago took care of New York with no
trouble in the 9th.
Ruben Gomez(5-6) ended up with the loss. He pitched 7 innings giving up 5
hits and 7 walks.
