Don Newcombe was able to finish what he started and was credited with a

complete game and Duke Snider had 3 base hits as the Brooklyn Dodgers

outscored the Cincinnati Redlegs in 10 innings 5 to 4.



The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings. Brooklyn came out on

top in the 10th inning. Don Zimmer hit a bases-empty home run (his 9th of

the season). The game was a scoreless duel until the 7th inning.



Newcombe(10-7) got the victory, allowing 4 runs for the game. Joe
