Tom Brewer was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game at Fenway Park where the Boston Red Sox beat the Cleveland Indians by
the score of 6 to 2.
Cleveland never recovered after Boston took the lead in the bottom of the 3rd
inning as they scored 3 runs on 2 base hits. The early run support proved
sufficient for Brewer(10-7) and Boston. That was all the run support Brewer
required. Boston rapped out 9 hits for the afternoon.
Art Houtteman(2-7) ended up with the loss. Boston scored big getting 6 runs
off him in 5 and 2/3 innings.
