AL Transaction August 1st
The Baltimore Orioles released 13 year veteran Hank Majeski. The 38 year old Majeski was with his 2nd team this season having been aquired from Cleveland on June 27th. With the Orioles he was hitting .158 with a homer and 3 RBI in 43 plate appearances. Overall this season Hank was hitting .155 with a homer and 7 RBI in 99 plate appearances. This was his 6th team in those 13 years, although he did miss 4 seasons in the military during WWII.
