At Yankee Stadium the phenomenal New York Yankees outscored the Kansas City

Athletics 5 to 2.



Bob Wiesler(5-0) had a solid outing for New York. He allowed 3 hits and 6

walks in 7 innings lowering his ERA from 4.54 to 4.20. Tommy Byrne was

perfect in relief and gained credit for his 2nd save.



Art Ditmar(4-9) was tagged with the loss. He served up 3 homeruns in his 6
