NL Transaction August 2nd
The Milwaukee Braves called up 27 year old 1B Ben Taylor. Taylor was originally drafted by the Dodgers in 1944 and reached the majors in 1951 with the St Louis Browns. He spent a small portion of 1952 with the Tigers. Overall he has hit .243 with 3 homers and 6 RBI in 111 at bats. The Braves are hoping he will provide some bench depth with the loss of Joe Adcock to injury.
