NL Transaction August 8th
The Brooklyn Dodgers placed 25 year old righthander Billy Loes on the DL today. In his 5th season, all with Brooklyn, Loes is 6-5 with a 3.46 ERA in 16 starts so far this season. Last year he was 10-6 with a 4.65 ERA in 21 starts. This is another blow to the Bums starting staff as Carl Erskine and Sandy Koufax are already out with injuries.
