Redlegs beat the New York Giants 7 to 5.
Cincinnati had 3 runs cross the plate in the 6th inning when they had 3 base
hits. The critical plate appearance was by Ted Kluszewski who thrilled the
crowd when he doubled emptying the bases. New York had a chance to come back
in the 9th but they came up short.

Black gained credit for his 3rd save. Ruben Gomez(5-7) took the loss. He
was unable to control the Cincinnati offense and allowed 9 hits and 3 walks
