WEB GEMS- Bot 4th: Stan Musial robbed George Crowe of a Homerun!
Second baseman Hank Aaron smacked 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI at County Stadium
where the Milwaukee Braves beat the St. Louis Cardinals 10 to 7.
Aaron punished St. Louis with his bat. He ripped a base-knock in the 1st
inning, rifled a three-run blast in the 6th inning and lofted a three-run
bomb (his 30th of the season) in the 7th inning. The St. Louis bats were
silent in the 9th.
The win went to Lew Burdette(12-7) who allowed 7 runs in 7 innings. Luis
Arroyo(7-9) was tagged with the loss in relief. 'I didn't feel that good
when I came to the park tonight,' Aaron said. 'I'm glad I decided to play!'
