Dick Hall pitched a complete game as the Pittsburgh Pirates outscored the New

York Giants 6 to 3.



Pittsburgh jumped on top to stay in the top of the 5th inning scoring one

runner. Tom Saffell reached on an error. After an out was recorded, Jerry

Lynch came up and he delivered a one-base hit scoring the run. Pittsburgh

managed 9 in their victory.



Hall(4-2) finished the game allowing 3 runs in the victory. Jim Hearn(9-13)

was charged with the loss. He allowed 6 runs and 9 hits in 8 and 1/3

innings.
