Ted Williams had 2 base hits at Fenway Park where the Boston Red Sox beat the

Washington Nationals 6 to 4.

Boston scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning with the help of 5 hits.

The key at-bat was by Ted Lepcio who brought a roar from the partisan Fenway

Park fans when he rifled a three-run blast (his 6th of the season). Despite

losing, Washington out-hit Boston 13 to 10.

The winning pitcher was George Susce(5-6) who allowed 4 runs in 7 innings.

Ellis Kinder recorded the save, his 15th. Pedro Ramos(1-6) was charged with

the loss.

'It wasn't my best outing, but I'll take the win' Susce said.
