AL Transaction August 16th
The New York Yankees activated 25 year old righthander Bob Grim from the DL today. Grim, in his 2nd big league season, had been placed on the DL June 22nd. He was 6-1 with a 2.55 ERA in 71 innings and 11 starts until his injury. Last season, as a rookie, he was 9-12 with a 3.86 ERA in 201 innings. Skipper Casey Stengel plans on using Grim out of the bullpen for the rest of the year.
