NL Transaction August 15th
The New York Giants recalled 28 year old infielder Billy Gardner today. In his 2nd Major League season, Gardner was hitting .316 with 1 homer and 3 RBI in 21 plate appearances before being sent down on June 1st. Last year, his rookie season, he hit .306 with 3 homers and 15 RBI in 117 plate appearances.
