NL Transaction August 17th
The St Louis Cardinals sent to triple A pitcher Floyd Wooldridge and called up pitcher Johnny Mackinson today.
Wooldridge, a 26 year old rookie righthander, was (4-3) with a 4.37 ERA in 58 innings and 8 starts.
Mackinson, a 31 year old righthander, pitched 1 1/3 innings for the Philadelphia Athletics in 1953. That has been his only stint in the big leagues until now.
