At Comiskey Park the Kansas City Athletics easily handled the Chicago White
Sox in 11 innings by the score of 9 to 5.
Both teams were tied at 5 runs apiece after nine innings. Kansas City ended
up winning it in the 11th inning. The crucial at-bat was provided by Vic
Power who silenced the crowd when he clubbed a three-run home run (his 15th
of the season). Overall Kansas City out-hit Chicago 15 to 9.
Tom Gorman(5-5) went 3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Morrie
Martin(2-1) was charged with the loss in relief. He gave up 4 runs and 4
