Billy Pierce mowed down 13 Baltimore batters as the Chicago White Sox topped

the struggling Baltimore Orioles by a score of 3 to 2 at Comiskey

Park.



Pierce(15-4) put on a good performance. He gave up just 9 hits and 4 walks in

9 innings. Chicago had 8 hits for the afternoon.



Jim Wilson(11-11) suffered the loss. 'Everything felt great' Pierce said. 'I

had a good fastball, I felt I could throw it by everybody today.'
