Jack Harshman tossed a complete game as the very talented Chicago White Sox
outscored the league door-mat Washington Nationals 8 to 5.
Chicago jumped on top to stay in the 2nd inning as they scored 3 runs on 2
base hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Nellie Fox who elicited a roar
from the hometown fans when he laced a base-knock plating two runs. Chicago
rapped out 12 hits for the afternoon.
Harshman(11-5) lasted until the end allowing 5 runs for the win. The loss was
charged to Camilo Pascual(1-11). He was pinned with the loss despite not
allowing an earned run in his 3 innings of work.
