Pedro Ramos went the distance at Yankee Stadium where the Washington Nationals
beat the New York Yankees by the score of 5 to 2.
Washington scored the decisive runs in a big top of the 8th inning scoring 3
runs using 2 hits. Mickey Vernon got things going when he drew a walk. Roy
Sievers followed and he tripled bringing in a run. Two outs later Jesse
Levan stepped in and he cracked a two-run shot (his 1st of the season).
Washington had 8 hits for the afternoon.
