Shortstop Johnny Logan had 4 hits at County Stadium where the Milwaukee Braves

beat the Pittsburgh Pirates in 13 innings by the score of 5 to 4.



The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings. Milwaukee came out on

top in the 13th inning. After an out was recorded, Joe Adcock ripped a solo

home run (his 20th of the season) making Milwaukee the winners and sending

the 40,843 fans home happy. Milwaukee rapped out 10 hits for the afternoon.



Phil Paine(2-0) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. Lino

Donoso(2-7) was the loser in relief. He gave up 3 hits and no walks in 2 and

1/3 innings.



With this win, Milwaukee has a league leading 92-50 record. They have been 7-3

lately. Pittsburgh has a record of 48-93, worst in the league after the

loss.
