The Baltimore Orioles signed 21 year old rookie Angelo Dagres as an amateur free agent.
The New York Yankees called up 22 year old rookie catcher Johnny Blanchard.
The Boston Red Sox recalled 21 year old infielder Billy Consolo. This is Consolo's 3rd year in the big leagues all with Boston. Last season he .202 with 3 homers and 18 RBI in 277 plate appearances. This season he was 0-1 before being sent down April 18th.
