AL Transactions September 16th
The Chicago White Sox called up 29 year old rookie OF Ed White.
The Boston Red Sox called up 25 year old 4 year veteran 1B Dick Gernert, 25 year old rookie 3B Frank Malzone, and 24 year old rookie C Haywood Sullivan. After extend playing time in 1952 and 1953, Gernert went 2 for 9 in 1954 and hasn't played at all this season.
The Baltimore Orioles called up 23 year old rookie pitcher Chuck Locke.
