and easily topped the league door-mat St. Louis Cardinals; the final score

was 10 to 5.



St. Louis was unable to claim the lead after Brooklyn went ahead in the top of

the 6th inning scoring 2 runners on 2 hits. Brooklyn out-hit St. Louis for

the game, 13 hits to 8.



Sandy Koufax(4-1) got the win allowing 5 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings. Clem

Labine earned his 11th save. Ben Flowers(0-2) was the loser. He pitched 6

innings allowing 8 hits and 6 walks.
