Frank Sullivan tossed a complete game at Yankee Stadium as the Boston Red Sox

beat the New York Yankees 7 to 2.



Boston took the lead for good in the 6th inning scoring 2 runs on 4 hits.

After an out was recorded, Jackie Jensen started the attack as he delivered a

solo blast (his 30th of the season). Norm Zauchin stepped into the batter's

box and he hit a bases-empty home run (his 29th of the season). Boston had

14 hits for the night.



Sullivan(16-13) allowed 2 runs on the game. Whitey Ford(19-7) was hit with the

loss. He served up 3 gopher balls in 6 and 1/3 innings.
