Jackie Jensen tripled in the tying run and scored the game winner as the Red Sox rallied over the Athletics 4-3.

Second baseman Billy Goodman had 2 base hits at Fenway Park as the Boston Red
Sox pulled off a dramatic comeback beating the Kansas City Athletics by the
count of 4 to 3.
Boston had the winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs utilizing 2 base
hits. Jimmy Piersall opened up the inning nicely when he reached on an
error. Tom Gorman then bounced one in the dirt for a wild pitch. Jackie
Jensen then tripled knocking in a run. Goodman stepped in and he smacked a
single giving Boston the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy.
Boston had 10 hits overall, while Kansas City had 7.
The victory went to Ellis Kinder(5-5) who went 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing 2
runs. Gorman(7-7) was given the loss in relief. He was unable to retire a
batter and surrendered 2 hits and no walks.
