The Brooklyn Dodgers cruised to a 8 to 2 victory over the New York Giants at

Ebbets Field.



In the bottom of the 5th inning Brooklyn went on top for good as they scored 2

runs on 3 base hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Walt Moryn who

made the crowd happy when he blasted a two-run home run (his 2nd of the

season). Both teams ended up with 10 hits on the afternoon.



Karl Spooner(13-1) went 5 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. Spooner was

helped out by Roger Craig who recorded his 2nd save. Jim Hearn(10-18) took

the loss. He allowed 3 homeruns in 7 innings of work.
