Jim Busby drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the White Sox a 2-1 win over the Indians.

The amazing Chicago White Sox nipped the Cleveland Indians in 10 innings 2 to

1 at Comiskey Park in a hard fought contest.



The score was knotted at 1 after nine innings. Chicago came out the victor in

the 10th inning. After two outs Bob Nieman banged out a single. Sherm

Lollar stepped into the batter's box and he delivered a one-base hit. Buddy

Peterson then reached on an error. Jim Busby was up next and he drew a walk

giving Chicago the victory as 36,970 happy fans celebrated wildly. Chicago

finished with 12 hits while Cleveland ended up with 8.



Connie Johnson(5-7) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. The loss

was charged to Jose Santiago(2-2) in relief. He was the victim of a

defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.
