Sherm Lollar went deep and had 3 RBI at Municipal Stadium as the indomitable
Chicago White Sox beat the Kansas City Athletics 11 to 6.
Lollar had a big day with his bat. He delivered a one-base hit bringing in
two baserunners in the 1st inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his
10th of the season) in the 6th inning and banged out a single in the 8th
inning. Chicago had 13 hits for the game and Kansas City had 9.
Bob Keegan(4-6) got the win allowing 6 runs in 6 innings. The losing pitcher
was Johnny Gray(0-4). His biggest problem was control as he allowed 9 walks
in 4 and 2/3 innings.
