Warren Spahn tossed a complete game as the very talented Milwaukee Braves beat
the St. Louis Cardinals in 10 innings by a score of 3 to 2.
The score was knotted at 2 after nine innings. Milwaukee came out on top in
the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Johnny Logan ripped a solo home
run (his 19th of the season). Milwaukee totaled 8 hits on the night.
The victory was credited to Spahn(21-8) who went the distance, allowing 2
runs. Luis Arroyo(7-12) ended up with the loss in relief. He allowed 1 run
and 1 hit in 1 inning.
